Title: Amaretto Flame (Eagleton Coven)
Author: Sammie Spencer
Publisher: Kindle Edition, March 24th 2011

Synopsis: Olivia has spent her life learning about her enemies, the deadly Venator - including how to kill them. What she knows nothing about is whiskey, playing poker, or rugged, copper-haired musicians. As punishment for a small 'crime,' Olivia is sent to a safe house in a human town and forced to live as one of them for a summer. There, she meets the charming Jackson Vance, and her real education begins. She soon discovers that she's being hunted, and figuring out why means she uncovers a secret that threatens to end everything she's ever fought for.

Sammie Spencer Interviews Everett from Amaretto Flame: Barbara Walters Style

In this post, I (Sammie Spencer, author of Amaretto Flame) will be doing a very serious interview with Everett (one of the coven members in Amaretto Flame). My friend Lisa (the host of this blog) will be standing close by to keep things interesting. She will periodically hold up a sign with a certain cartoon character's face on it in order to alleviate the mundane. This should be interesting, so grab a snack, sit back, and enjoy!

Sammie: Hi, Everett. How are you doing today?

Everett: I'm pretty much doing however you say I'm doing...um, okay right now.

Sammie: Good point, good point. So let's just cut right to the chase. You didn't have an easy childhood, did you?

Everett: *runs hands through hair* No. No, I didn't.

Sammie: Is it true that you were essentially tortured at a very young age?

Everett: Yes.

Sammie: Why do you think that is?

Everett: I know why that is. It's because I was born with the ability to use magick. *shrugs* My parents thought I was evil. They thought they could use pain to break me; to remove whatever beast was inside.

Lisa: *looks around uneasily, holds up sign*

Everett: *chuckles* Am I supposed to guess the cartoon?

Sammie: Would you like to guess the cartoon?

Everett: Uh, sure. Talking cheese man.

Sammie: Everett, you're an embarrassment. That's Spongebob Squarepants.

Everett: *blank stare*

Sammie: Okay. Now, shortly after your parents abandoned you, you were adopted by a woman named Ivanna. Can you tell us about that?

Everett: Yes. Ivanna took me to live in Eagelton. Almost immediately I knew she was different; that she was like me.

Sammie: And she was.

Everett: Yes.

Sammie: And who did you meet in Eagleton?

Everett: The other adults, and Livvy.

Sammie: Now, who is Livvy?

Everett: Livvy is my best friend. She's...amazing.

Lisa: *holds sign up*

Everett: Um...macho cave man?

Sammie: *rolls eyes* Fred Flintstone.

Everett: Right.

Sammie: Do you love Olivia?

Everett: Of course I do.

Sammie: Do you love LOVE her? *waggles eyebrows*

Everett: *blushes* Like, love LOVE?

Sammie: Yes. Love LOVE.

Everett: Trish from YA Bound asked me that too. What have you guys heard? *chuckles* I would do anything in the world to keep Olivia happy, that's all.

Lisa: *holds sign up*

Everett: *chuckles* Um...I don't know. The tooth fairy?

Sammie: Close. Fairly Odd Parents. So, I think I've taken up enough of your time. I'm sure you have Venator to kill or something, but before we go, I have one last very important question.

Everett: Shoot.

Sammie: What's your very favorite food?

Everett: Pancakes!

There you have it, folks. Straight from the source. Be sure to find out the rest of Everett's story in the upcoming sequel to Amaretto Flame!

Everett, Sammie, thanks so much for the interview! It was great of you to stop in. We hope to see you around here again soon.

  7. Pancakes are yummy! And I'm still not sure if Everett love LOVES Olivia. He's very mysterious about that...and they really need to get a television over at Eagleton. Spongebob I can almost understand because he's a newer cartoon character, but Fred Flinstone?! Come on, he's a classic!

    Great interview :)
